What makes a cowboy today? Not the open range alone, but a way of moving through space: self-directed, alert, resistant to being fixed in place. For Wrangler x Avirex, the cowboy is not a figure of nostalgia. It is a code to be reworked through two archives at once: Western heritage shaped by Wrangler, and Avirex’s leather-led passage from aviation outerwear to ‘90s hip-hop luxury and city streetwear. Less lone rider than urban drifter, the figure that emerges is built for new terrains, where denim and leather become tools of presence and belonging.

The collection moves through seven pieces like a map of crossed territories: black leather, Wrangler Blue denim, heavyweight cotton, exposed chainstitching, oversized patches, and tonal Western-style embroidery. At its center, the trucker silhouette appears as a shared artifact — cut once in leather, once in denim — carrying dual branding across its surface like a record of exchange. The jeans pull exposed chainstitching from 1940s Western wear into a contemporary barrel silhouette, while the hoodie, jogger, and tee carry the language into streetwear form: heavy, graphic, and built for daily movement.

The result is a remix of the forces that made the cowboy iconic: autonomy, movement, and the ability to inhabit contradiction. Wrangler and Avirex meet where function becomes mythology. One begins with denim shaped by rodeo and Western workwear; the other with leather outerwear that moved from aviation heritage into the '90s hip-hop scene. Both carry the charge of garments that outgrew their original purpose, becoming uniforms for movement, status, and self-invention.

As Wrangler’s global elevation partner, Slam Jam frames Avirex as the first chapter in a new series of premium collaborations, extending the brand’s heritage into a contemporary cultural space. The path will continue through Wrangler’s archive and Western codes, opening onto Blue Bell, the elevated line rooted in the brand’s workwear history.
