Slam Jam presents the Nike SNDR silhouette aiming to reimagine reality with an immersive in-store installation by Milan based artist Davide Stucchi. A set of mirrors push the boundaries of your imagination, creating a striking visual impact by playing with the environment.
A sculptural installation that features a large cross is designed to be both large and imposing, with its mirrored surfaces amplifying its presence by capturing and reflecting light and scenery. This creates an illusion, making it appear almost invisible from certain angles.
The primary aim is to explore themes of visibility and invisibility, presence and absence. The cross is also the mathematical symbol for addition which, when rotated becomes the symbol for multiplication, represented here with the mirrors. By using mirrors, the installation encourages viewers to reconsider their own relationship with symbols and their surroundings, challenging their perceptions and expectations. The tailor-made track by Malibu, a French artist known for her immersive soundscapes ranging between ambient and ethereal, completes the atmosphere by reflecting the loud and radical spirit of the Nike SNDR.
