The shoe takes the shape of the new Cloudflow 5, with an upper sole that shifts from muddy brown to carbon black, seamlessly. A dusty effect that is usually created through repeated use, here is a given. The shoe is meant for repeated use, free movement and bold statements. Slam Jam’s logo is on the right side of the shoe, while its founding year, “1989”, is on the left side. A transparent cage locks in the signature outsole.

The new Cloudflow 5 will be unveiled during MFW. Available at Slam Jam and selected retailers as of June 19th, a celebratory rite will take place at Slam Jam’s Spazio Maiocchi on the 20th, from 7 to 10PM.

Slam Jam and On tapped Leonard Vernhet (Permanent Files) to direct the campaign with videographer Theodor Guelat, and the installation for the launch event. The cinematic video features a circular set of Funktion-One loudspeakers in forgotten urban outskirts. Two human bodies interact with their surroundings and are bound to a central totem piece, a led wall that pulses at their slowed-down tempo.

Ancient motion patterns emerge in an ideal place, where time and friction have brought up a new environment to live through. The soundtrack is Circles by artist Torus.
