  • sacai

Japanese designer Chitose Abe founded sacai in 1999, after spending years under the guidance of Rei Kawakubo and Junya Watanabe. Abe has become the face of the modern avant-garde Japanism, an hybrid style that breaks down the thin line between casual and formal-wear, creating a constructive design approach genderless and without strict lines. Most famous are the brand’s “spliced” garments that literally fuse together not just two garment styles such as the bomber jacket and blazer, but two entire cultural patrimonies to produce surprisingly wearable pieces of avant garde design.
  • Nike

Nike continues to inspire entire generations of sportspeople with its high-performance products and storytelling in a motivational guise. The company takes its name from Nike, the Greek goddess of victory. The ACG line focuses on hiking-inspired and functional first products, perfect for mountains and extreme sports. Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman have created something more than an apparel brand, an ongoing cultural lifestyle.
  • Kapital

Kapital was founded by father and son Toshiyoko and Kiro Hirata in 1996 in Kojima, Kurashiki, the so-called “capital” of Japanese denim. Combining an incredible knowledge of vintage American manufacturing and ancient Japanese iconic techniques, such as Sashiko and Boro, Kapital is an incomparable hub of meticulous know-how artisanal. The sub-label Kapital Kountry focuses on the production of pre-distressed products, by returning items with strong and unique personality.
  • Vans

Founded in Anaheim, California, in 1966, The Van Doren Rubber Company, now known as Vans, represents the most subversive footwear silhouette in the world. Recognized globally for the support by the skateboarding community, Vans gained reliance on waffle soles and canvas construction within the street culture, thanks mainly to three models: Old Skool, Sk8-Hi, and Slip-On. Over the years, Vans became the symbol of rebellion in such different contexts, punk, metal, and rock bands, and for some comparison in cinema (“Fast Times at Ridgemont High, with Sean Penn).
