Brainchild of Slam Jam and the perfect imagination of Martine Rose, Napa by Martine Rose was launched in 2016 and is a highly idiosyncratic subculture-driven interpretation of the iconic Italian outdoorswear brand, Napapijri. What begun as an exercise in re-interpreting archival Napapijri styles has, in the hands of Rose, quickly developed a loose, surreal even dreamy logic of associations to the Napapijri style, transforming fleeces, expedition jackets and beach jeans into true Martine Rose originals.
