Public Possession Women

Out of a deep love for music, both intrinsically and as a social connection point, Valentino Betz and Marvin Schuhmann founded Public Possession in 2012, with their store as a community hub at its center. The name of the store comes from a mix of the label 'Private Possession', which the pair used to play before opening their store, and as a concept, they wanted to counter each other by being 'public' for everyone. The feeling that they were no longer the exclusive preserve, but rather the reference point for discussion and healthy debate. Since its inception, Public Possession has served as a platform for various artists from around the world, steadily building its community. Alongside the eclectic records they release from the likes of Bell-Towers, Eden Burns, or DJ City, they regularly host an in-store DJ session on weekends. Over the years, in addition to their music label, the two founders have created spaces dedicated to art, design, and merchandising. The duo also has a fortnightly radio show, the 'Ohr Bonus Show', for Radio 80,000.
