( 27 )The collaboration between Slam Jam and Vans represents an ongoing meeting of the minds between two ideologies of creative subversion through the reinterpretation of timeless silhouettes. In 2022, Vans and Slam Jam rework the Sk8-Hi, designed with British artist Fergus Purcell aka Fergus "Fergadelic", a ubiquitous symbol of counter-culture worn by shoe and sneaker enthusiasts far and wide.
