As the name suggests, Weird Walk presents 1980s-style fanzines that tell stories of mystery, folklore, history and geography on British soil. The brainchild of Alex Hornsby and his friends James and Owen, Weird Walk draws inspiration from British horror film title sequences, 1970s 'occulture' paperbacks, photocopied parish magazines, privately pressed folk records and old Letraset transfer sheets. By walking the ancient paths, visiting the sacred sites and immersing themselves in the folklore and customs of these islands, they hope to fan the faint embers of magic still smoldering in the grate and conjure up that elusive temporal trail of history and mystery. A strange walk that bypasses nostalgia and leads back to optimism and re-enchantment.
